  • cnghr- It is interesting that you get all the Washington State political ads. I live in Vancouver Washington and we don't get any. We get all the Oregon political ads as we are just across the river. If it wasn't for the voters pamplet I would n…

  • OMG, they are so cute.
  • It is nice to see a local spin on the "Bridge to Nowhere". We only know what the media decides is relevant.and we really don't know how true or distorted our information is.
  • >How would Fox News have viewed it if the black candidate had a pregnant >unmarried teen? Good point Frank.
  • I plan to celebrate with anyone who can develop a left handed can opener.
  • Why?
  • Good point.
  • I am across the river from Portland, OR and we are 98th. Can't get much drier than that. except for Seattle and San Francisco.
  • Our gasoline can vary from station to station from $4.19 to $4.39 for regular 87 octane. I am checking to see if we see a jump this week due to the holiday weekend.
  • Just called and the one near me is open. Apparently they are individually owned.
  • We have one about a mile from my house and will have to check to see if it is closed.

  • Contacts How about the old favorite-Chocolate or Vanilla?
  • Thank you Kimberly There are enough verbal mistakes by both candidates without singling out Obama and not taking note of gaffes McCain has made. Without doing our research we are subject to whatever the media hands us regarding either canditate.
  • Paul, do you find that tourism is down on the coast due to the high price of gas? Not as many people from interior Oregon coming your way?

  • Over 75,000 people attended an Obama rally in Portland over the weekend in the 93+ degree heat. Supposed to be some kind of record. Both the attendance and the heat.
  • Being just across the river from Oregon I can tell you that Oregon is an Obama state. At least that is what the news stations are reporting.
  • I read that a few minutes ago and I am still laughing.
  • Why would you be staying in Beaverton Oregon when the "golf/fishing" is in Colorado? Just asking!

  • I love reading Ann Rule books not only for her fascinating way of telling the story but living in the area I can visualize all the places she is talking about in her books. The Northwest seems to have an abundance of serial killers.
  • Washington had both a caucus and a primary. Apparently the primary votes did not even count for the Democrats only the caucus votes. Strange way of doing things as the state actually sent ballots for a vote which wouldn't even count. I agree w…
  • Years ago had a position open for a medical assistant and received a resume where the applicant had said that her experience for this position was based on "cutting up tomatoes for Taco Bell".
  • Apparently she needs a dozen motorcycle cops, head brass, patrol cops and a helicopter just to get out of her house. Tax dollars at work.
  • We had some snow the last couple of days but we are now back to normal with our forecast as light rain, scattered showers, drizzle, and rain which is really all the same thing. My favorite is partly cloudy or partly sunny. What is the difference.
  • Makes sense. Told you not to call me too swift.
  • Call me not too swift, but I don't get #15.
  • Due to the heavy rains resulting in part from the storn Paul was involved in, one highway to the northern beaches was washed away with a mud slide. One mobile home is in the middle of the highway and two homes were shifted off their foundations. …
  • Some pics of the flooding up Interstate 5 which is the main highway between Canada and California. It is closed down for 20 miles until later this weekend. Truckers are not happy. Apparently Cannon Beach is still having problems also. ([url]http:…
  • My favorite is when they send out a couple page advertisement flyer in the local newspaper and the prices are still $1.00. Why bother with a flyer everyone knows what the prices are. We used to have an .88 cent store. It is gone.
